Irvine-based Solarflare, a developer of 10 Gigabit Ethernet network adapters, said Tuesday that it has named Dave Parry as its Vice President of Engineering. Parry joins the firm from SGI, and has also served at MIPS Computer Systems and Hewlett-Packard. According to the firm, Parry will manage the firm's engineering functions. Solarflare develops 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) chips and server adapters.
