Sonos Names Former Sony Exec As President, COO

Santa Barbara-based Sonos, a developer of wireless music systems, said today that it has appointed Phil Abram as President and Chief Operating Officer. Abram was most recently at Sony Electronics, where he was Vice President and Senior General Manager of the electronic giant's television products division. Abram has also served at Sharp Electronics and Eastman Kodak. Abram will join the firm at its Santa Barbara headquarters. Sonos is a venture-backed manufacturer of a user-friendly, multi-room digital music system that allows consumers to stream digital audio throughout a home.
