Santa Barbara-based Sonos, which develops wireless multi-room music systems, unveiled several new products yesterday plus a partnership with Best Buy. The firm said that it has added a new product called the Sonos ZoneBridge, which helps route information between the firm's Sonos ZonePlayer digital music playing units; the new hardware extends the range of its wireless mesh network. The company also upgraded its software, saying that its latest 2.5 software update provides better music search capabilities, among other upgrades. Finally, the company inked a deal with Best Buy to offer broadband download of music tracks from Best Buy. The Best Buy digital music service is powered by Rhapsody. The deal includes a retail push of the Sonos/Best Buy service, which the firms said will include 600 Best Buy locations.
