Sonos Updates Android, iOS Apps
Santa Barbara-based Sonos, the maker of the user-friendly, whole-house music systems, has updated the company's Android and iPad software, adding support for the iPad's Retina display, plus optimizing displays for 7-inch and 10-inch Android tablets, the company announced Tuesday. Sonos said its software, version 3.8.1, includes landscape mode for Android tablets, larger screen album art, as well as better support for the Retina displays on the iPhone and iPad. Sonos makes user-friendly music systems, which can be controlled via smartphone and tablets, and can be used to stream music from either a users' personal music collection or a wide range of Internet music streaming or Internet radio stations.
