Sony, Warner Collaborate on Online Gaming
San Diego-based Sony Online Entertainment and Burbank-based Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced last week that the two companies have signed an exclusive long term agreement to develop massively multiplayer online games. Sony will develop a DC Comics-based massively multiplayer online game for the PC and consoles, and will acquire The Matrix Online game. The Matrix was originally developer by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. DC Comics is the publisher of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and other popular comic book characters. Financial terms were not disclosed.
