    Sony, Yahoo Expand Distribution Deal

Yahoo said Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with Sony BMG, which will extend its video-on-demand license, and which will also allow users to include Sony BMG songs in their amateur videos. Financial terms oft he deal were not disclosed, however the firms said that Sony BMG music videos will be available for distribution across Yahoo and through a Yahoo-branded video player, and that Yahoo users will be able to use various Sony BMG audio recordings in the video clips that they create. The deal is similar to one Sony BMG has with Google's YouTube. Sony BMG Entertainment is a joint venture of Bertelsmann A.G., and Sony Corporation of America.
