Sony Plans PlayStaton Network Restoration Today

Sony said today that it expects to begin full restoration of its PlayStation Network services starting today, in the Americas, Europe, and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. The firm also said it expects to resume its Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity services. Sony's services have been down for more than a month now, after a massive data breach and hack attack at the company. Sony did not say why restoration in Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea will lag, but said it will provide further announcements on restoration in those markets as details become available. The multi-pronged hack and data breach at Sony has been a huge, ongoing black eye for the firm, and has cost the firm more than $171M.
