San Diego-based Sorenson Media, a developer of video encoding and decoding software, said today that it had 40 percent plus revenue growth in the quarter. The privately held firm--which did not disclose actual financials--claimed that it was the third consecutive quarter of 40 percent plus growth for the firm. The firm attributed the revenue gains from the release of its Sorenson 360 online video platform, the firm's own content deliver network and content management system. The firm said it is looking to grow its engineering team and workforce due to the growth.
