SpaceX Delays Manned Missions To 2018
In the biggest impact so far of the loss of a Falcon 9 rocket in Cape Canaveral in August, Hawthorne-based SpaceX is delaying its first manned missions to space from 2017 to 2018. The delays reportedly give SpaceX time to completely develop new launchpad fueling procedures, which have been pinpointed as the cause of that devastating explosion earlier this year. Reports say that NASA had been targeting its first launch of astronauts into space on the Falcon 9 as earlier as April of 2017, only four months away.
