SpaceX Succesfully Launches, Recovers Another Rocket

Hawthorne-based SpaceX has sent another commercial communications satellite to space, and successfully landed another Falcon 9 first stage on a drone ship on Sunday, adding to the company's growing list of successful missions to space. SpaceX launched its JCSAT-16 mission from Cape Canaveral at 1:26AM EDT on Sunday, August 14th, delivering a commercial communications satellite for SKY Perfect JSAT Corporation, to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO). The satellite--carrying Ku-band and Ka-Band transponders--is a backup satellite for SKY Perfect, which serves Asia, Russia, Oceania, Middle East and North America, and also broadcasts "SKY PerfectTV!", a satellite television service in Japan.
