Specific Media Gets $100M Funding
Irvine-based Specific Media said today that it has raised $100M in a funding from private equity firm Francisco Partners. The giant round of funding is the second round for the firm, and according to Specific Media will be specifically earmarked for acquisitions. The company said that it will also have access to further resources as necessary. Neil Garfinkel of Francisco Partners will join the company's board. Piper Jaffray advised Specific Media on the transaction. Specific Media said that it believes that and the consolidation is still far from finished in the online advertising market. Specific Media has previously raised $10M in funding from Enterprise Partners and Shepherd Ventures. More information »
