SpotRunner Targets Franchises

Los Angeles-based Spot Runner, which is developing Internet-based services for making it easier for businesses to purchase television advertising, announced today that it has launched a new ad program targeting franchises. The company's Franchise Advertising Program is designed to allow franchisees to launch TV ad campaigns, using a library of preproduced television spots. Initial franchises particpating in the program include Century 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA, Contours Express, and iSold It. Spot Runner said that its new program allows franchisees to launch a TV ad campaign for less than $1,500. SpotRunner is backed by Battery Ventures, Comerica Bank, and Index Ventures.
