SRS Labs, Qualcomm Link On Surround Sound

Santa Ana-based SRS Labs said today that it has linked up with San Diego-based Qualcomm, to provide its audio technologies within Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets. Financial details of the licensing agreement were not disclosed. The two said that SRS audio technologies will be used to augment the audio and multimedia capabilities of Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets. SRS said its technology is already shipping in Android and Windows 7 devices. SRS provides signal processing technology and surround sound software, and is a spinout of Hughes Aircraft.
