    Staccato Gets Deal with SMSC

San Diego-based Staccato Communications, a provider of ultrawideband USB silicon, said Monday that it is in a joint effort with SMSC. The two companies said that they are delivering two reference designs for the Certified Wireless USB market, which incorporates SMSC's USB hubs with Staccato's single chip, CMOS wireless USB device wire adapter. The reference designs can be used by equipment manufacturers to implement Certified Wireless USB products. The two designs include a 4-power, wireless USB switching hub, and a 7-port wireless USB hub.
