    Stamps.com, eBay Settle Litigation

Santa Monica-based Stamps.com and eBay announced that the two companies have resolved litigation between the two companies. Stamps.com had sued PayPal and eBay for breach of contract in June of 2003. Stamps.com had claimed that eBay had delayed deployment of a system which was designed to allow users to use PayPal to calculate and print postage, which Stamps.com had already invested significant amounts of development time and dollars into. eBay will pay Stamps.com an undisclosed amount to settle the case, and the two parties have agreed to a three-year license of software and intellectual property owned by Stamps.com.
