    Infotrieve Buys Electronic Laboratory Notebook Firm


    Los Angeles-based Infotrieve said today that it has acquired GenSys Software, a provider of electronic laboratory notebook software for the life sciences and chemistry industry. Infotrieve will tap the Gensys/ELN software for Infostrieve's life sciences electronic research platform. Terms were not disclosed. The Gensys software is used by pharmaceutical, biotechnology, clinical testing, packaged food, and consumer goods industries to improve scientist workflow and link experiments to literature and scientific data, product information, and more. The software allows scientists to capture experimental data from either a tablet PC or computer.
