    Helicomm Ships ZigBee-Ready Terminals


    Carlsbad-based Helicomm announced yesterday that it has released a new network terminal targeted at manufacturers and integrators of low cost wireless networks. The ZigBee-ready terminals are available in IEEE802.15.4 compliant 2.4GHz or 915MHz versions. Helicomm is targeting its technology in the low-data-rate, wireless market, used for data acquisition, remote monitoring, and control. Low cost wireless networks, and standards such as ZigBee are looking to fulfill demand by manufacturers and others for low-cost wireless components for monitoring and control applicaitons.
