    Conexant, Sharp Target WiFi Market


    Newport Beach-based Conexant, and Sharp today announced a new, low power Wi-Fi Module that the firms are aiming at the embedded WLAN market. The two companies said that the new module is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.11b/g standard, and is targeted at cellular/WLAN handsets and other embedded mobile applications. Conexant contributed the integrated circuit technology, and Sharp developed the advanced micro packaging technology for the product.
