    Internet Brands Launches Car Wiki

Los Angeles-based Internet Brands announced Wednesday that the firm has opened up what it calls "Wikipedia for Cars", Wikicars.org. The new web site provides a wiki-style web site that allows car shoppers and others to build a community-driven site around automobiles. Internet Brands said it is looking to draw a dedicated community of contributors with a passion for sharing personal automotive experience. The firm has bootstrapped the web site with information on features, specs, and general information on every product car, truck, and SUV sold in the U.S., along with new car buying guides. Internet Brands operates CarsDirect.com and other automotive web sites, and also recently acquired two other wiki-based businesses, Wikitravel.org and World66.com.
