    Demand Media Buys Hillclimb Media

Santa Monica-based Demand Media, the domain name aggregation play headed by ex-Intermix CEO Richard Rosenblatt, has acquired Hillclimb Media, a company which hosts travel, sports, and outdoors-related web sites. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Demand Media said that the addition of Hillclimb enables it to expand its ability to deliver a unique, targeted, and effective marketplace for its users and advertisers. Hillclimb Media develops premium pay-for-content websites for sports enthusiasts, including Trails.com, AllGetaways.com, and GolfLink. Demand Media is backed by Generation Partners, Oak Investment Partners, and Spectrum Equity Investors.
