StreamCast Rolls Out Morpheus Version 5.0
Los Angeles-based StreamCast Networks, the maker of the popular file sharing software Morpheus, said today that it has launched version 5.0 of the peer to peer file swapping software. The new software integrates searching for BitTorrent files, an improved user interface, and better media support. The Morpheus software is used by users to download and swap MP3, audio, music, video, games, and other software through the Internet. Morpheus and BitTorrent have both been the target of aggressive legal action by music and movie companies, the MPAA, and RIAA, who are looking to shut down the services due to their use as a way to swap copyrighted video and movie files.
