Streamload Launches Web-based Email Attachment Service

San Diego-based Streamload said today that it is launching xStreamMail, a web-based email system designed for sending and receiving video and photo collections. The company's xStreamMail system is an online, subscription service which allows subscribers to upload any amount of video and photo files for access by friends and family. Receivers of the email can then access those files and videos directly via the web, instead of through an email download. The service is similar to, and competes with Iomega's Whalemail Internet storage service and other similar services, all of which allow users to upload their large files and provide access to other users via a web link.
