Surf Air Plans Expansion: Four New Cities, More Planes
Los Angeles-based membership airline Surf Air is planning an expansion into four new cities, saying over the weekend that it will add Santa Rosa, Monterey, Sacramento, and Palm Springs to its routes, and also plans to double its fleet and frequency of flights. Surf Air said it will have 13 planes and up to 90 daily dates by the end of the year. The airline charges $1,750 per month for its membership plans, which allows members to fly as much as they want, and skipping the long lines and security checks of commercial terminals, and instead letting users depart from less crowded airports and private aviation terminals.
