The explosion of daily deal sites like Groupon and LivingSocial--which has resulted in a deluge of daily deal emails into consumers inboxes--looks to be overwhelming those consumers, according to a survey by Los Angeles-based PriceGrabber. PriceGrabber, the online comparison shopping site now owned by Experian, said it conducted the survey of 2,088 U.S. online consumers between May 20th and 25th, which found that 52 percent of shoppers surveyed are now feeling overwhelmed by those daily emails. About 63 percent of those consumers said they get two or more local deal emails a day. PriceGrabber ran the survey to drum up interest in its solution, which is its own, local deal search engine which it launched on June 1st.
