TakeLessons Launches Scholarship Program

San Diego-based TakeLessona, the online marketplace for finding tutors, music teachers, language lessons, and more, has launched a new scholarship program specifically aimed at college and university students. According to TakeLessons, it will offer up scholarships to three students, worth $1,000, $2,000, and $5,000, driven by online, public voting. The company said that the new scholarships are aimed at helping students turn something they love doing, which otherwise might have been a hobby, and turning that into a career. Students can submit their entry online. Deadline to apply is September 30, 2014. TakeLessons is led by Steven Cox.
