    Taltopia Gets $800K In Funding


    Los Angeles-based Taltopia.com, which says it has created an free, online platform for connecting aspiring actors, musicians, models, comedians, and other talent with fans and industry professionals, said this morning that it has raised $800,000 in a Series A round of funding. The round came from an unnamed angel investor. According to the firm, the funding will go to broaden the site's reach and further develop features on the site. The company is headed by Allen Vartazarian and Anthony Zonontian. Taltopia.com's web site allows any aspiring artist to upload art, video, pictures, and more and have visitors to the site rate that content. According to Taltopia, the site if focused on helping anyone become "the world's next web-celeb."
