Tapioca Mobile Gets Funding From Venrock

San Diego-based Tapioca Mobile said this morning that it has raised an initial round of seed funding from venture capital firm Venrock. Size of the venture round was not disclosed. As part of the funding, David Siminoff and Neeraj Choubey of Venrock have joined the firm's board of directors. Tapioca said that it is developing technology that allows media companies and advertisers to deliver video and rich media to mobile handsets. Tapioca Mobile is headed by Sachin Deshpande, former head of Qualcomm's BREW Developer Relations. More information »
