San Diego-based TargeGen (www.targegen.com) has raised a second round of $30M for its work on developing biopharmaceuticals for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The company is working on small molecule therapeutics. Funding came from William Blair Capital Partners, CDP Capital Technology Ventures, as well as previous investors Forward Ventures and Enterprise Partners.
