    TCVN Targets Unaffiliated Angels

The Tech Coast Venture Network is the latest group looking to help entrepreneurs connect with angels, saying today that it has created a new, unaffiliated angel program. The group said that it is looking for entrepreneurs and business owners at early-stage companies who are looking to pitch their firms to a consortium of unaffiliated angels. The group will also offer a program to educate angel investors about equity investing in early stage companies, a database of early stage investment candidates, and counseling for entrepreneurs. The group joins the Tech Coast Angels, Pasadena Angels, Keiretsu Forum, and Maverick Angels, among others, in connecting entrepreneurs and angel investmentors in the Southern California area. Bart Greenberg, Chairman of the group, said that the group will only be facilitating, and will not itself be funding, the opportunities made available through its efforts.
