Tecca, Backed By Best Buy, Launches Personal Electronics Shopping Service

Santa Monica-based Tecca said today that it has launched a new, personal electronics shopping and information service with the backing of Best Buy Co. and Fuse Capital. The firm, which did not disclose financial details of the investment, said the digital media fund established by Best Buy and Fuse Capital are backing its launch of a product information, pricing, and shopping mobile application. Tecca's software currently runs on Apple iPhone and Google Android devices, and the firm said it will be offering up mobile web, PC, and tablet versions later this fall. Tecca's chairman is Ross Levinsohn, and the firm is headed by Mickie Rosen, who also is a partner at Fuse Capital. Fuse said that Tecca was incubated from within the firm.
