Tech Coast Angels Hail Exits, Disclose Q2 Investments Numbers

The Tech Coast Angels, Southern California's largest angel investment group, is hailing its latest exits today, saying that the recent IPOs for Green Dot and Trius Therapeutics, as well as the sale of Language Weaver to SDL, have left members "smiling". The angel group also said it made investments in OLFactor, a firm developing technology for insect repellent and trapping, HitFix, an entertainment news site, and Vokle, a live video site. Financial terms of those various deals were not disclosed. The TCA said it invested in a total of 14 new and follow-on deals in Q2, which totaled $19,364,501 in investments between the TCA and other investment partners.
