    TelASIC Raises $26M


    El Segundo-based TelASIC Communications has raised a Series D funding of $26M. Funding was led by ComVentures, and included existing investors Mission Ventures, The IPO Group, Agilent Technologies, and Redpoint Ventures. TelASIC is developing high performance analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits, and sub-systems for the 3G wireless infrastructure market. TelASIC's chip technology is used for wireless base station designs and next generation wireless networks. The company said that the funding would be used to ramp production and bolster key organizational functions.
