Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies announced Tuesday that it has acquired the assets of Webb Research Corp., a E. Falmouth, Mass.-based manufacturer of autonomous underwater gliding vehicles, profiling drifters, and floats. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Teledyne, Webb Research had sales of $12.2M for its fiscal year ended December 31, 2007. Webb Research develops underwater vehicle systems used for oceanographic research, military surveillance, and subsea communications networks. Webb Research will be renamed Teledyne Webb Research.
