    The Active Network Buys Content Management Firm


    San Diego-based The Active Network said this morning that it has acquired IronPoint Technology, a Canadian firm that provides content management software. Terms were not disclosed. The Active Network said it will use IronPoint's content management software to offer a solution for operations management, content management, and marketing services. IronPoint's software is used by government and educational organizations to publish content on their web sites. The Active Network provides applications for community service organizations.
