    The Active Network Signs YMCA

San Diego-based The Active Network, a provider of software for the nonprofit and community service sector, said Tuesday morning that it has signed on the YMCA of the Greater Houston Area as a customer. The Active Network said that the Houston YMCA is the third largest YMCA in the nation. According to Active, the deal calls for the YMCA to use its software for managing its 38 centers and 800,000 participants; the firm's software is used for tracking membership activity, administering financial reports, activity registration, and scheduling.
