    TherOx Raises $30M


    Irvine-based TherOx has raised $30M in venture funding for its treatment of heart attack (Acute Myocardial Infarction). The funding was led by New Science Ventures, and included new investors Aperture Venture Partners and Wasatch Advisors. Existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield Byers and Integral Capital Partners also particpated. The company said that the funding would be used to submit for pre-market approval for its therapy.
