Thismoment Raises $7.3M

Thismoment, a developer of software aimed at digital marketing for brands and ad agencies, said this week that it has raised $7.3M in a funding round. The firm, which has operations in both San Francisco and Los Angeles, said the funding came from Sierra Ventures. Mark Fernandes of Sierra Ventures joins the company's board as part of the funding. Other investors in the company include private equity firm Fenway Partners, Shelby Bonnie (founder, CNET), Jason Hirschhorn (MySpace, MTV) and Mika Salmi (Atom Entertainment, Viacom">">Viacom). The funding is the firm's first institutional round. Thismoment's software helps brands establish a presence on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and other social sites.
