THQ, American Girl Team Up On Video Game

Agoura Hills-based THQ and Mattel's American Girl division said this morning that the two are in a deal to publish video games based on American Girl's popular dolls and books. THQ will publish games based on American Girls characters, starting with one focused on Julie Albright, the firm's newest American Girl character, entitled Julie Saves the Eages. The title will be available for Windows PC; THQ also said it would publish a Nintendo DS title, Julie Finds A Way, also based on the same character. Financial terms of the publishing deal were not disclosed. The companies said they will also publish at least one other Windows PC title together, based on the American Girl 2008 Girl of the Year character.
