THQ, Major League Baseball In Wireless Pact

Calabasas-based THQ announced this morning that it has reached a deal with Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLBAM) to develop and distribute officially licensed baseball-themed wireless applications. The company will develop entertainment titles, ringtones, and more for this season that run on mobile phones. THQ said that ringtones from players such as Eric Gagne and Roger Clemens will be downloadable by fans, and player images will be downloadable as cell phone wallpaper. The deal also includes additional entertainment titles, all of which are expected to launch at the start of baseball season.
