    Tickets.com Launches Into Singapore With Franchise Deal


    Costa Mesa-based Tickets.com said today that it has expanded into Singapore, as part of a deal with Quebec Leisure International Pte Ltd. Quebec Leisure will become a franchisee of Tickets.com, and will provide ticketing services in Singapore. Financial details of the franchise deal were not disclosed. Tickets.com said that its Singapore arm will work with AXS InfoComm Pte Ltd. to expand its physical distribution channels, so that Tickets.com Singapore will be available from 450 AXS kiosks, in addition to Tickets.com's existing 15 physical outlets. Quebec Leisure International Pte Ltd. is owned by NTUC Club, which operates a chain of theme parts and resorts in Singapore. Tickets.com, is a subsidiary of MLB Advanced Media, the Internet and interactive media arm of Major League Baseball.
