TigerText Takes Aim At Outdated Pagers, FAX Machines

Santa Monica-based TigerText, the provider of secure messaging apps which are heavily used by the healthcare industry, has launched two new features aimed at bringing hospitals into the modern age. TigerText said its new products, TigerPage and TigerFax, will allow its users to receive and respond to pages and faxes from their smartphone. TigerText said that pagers and fax machines are still widely in used in hospitals in the U.S. TigerText's new TigerPage software takes the place of pagers, letting users send a voice message or call back users from their TigerText inbox, automatically transcribing voice pages to text. TigerFax handles sending and receiving FAX information directly from the app.
