Tinder Buys Humin

Los Angeles-based dating app developer Tinder says it has acquired Humin, a San Francisco-based developer of contact management software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Tinder said that it has hired Humin co-founder Ankur Jain as VP of Product, and fellow co-founder David Wyler as VP of Partnerships, to lead an "exciting new product initiative." Humin's contact management products revolved around a users' smartphone contact list, including Humin Contacts--which cleans up and manages a users' contact list--and also included Knock Knock, a social chat application. The two said that Humin will continue to offer up its products "for now."
