Topspin Media Gets Series B
Santa Monica-based Topspin Media, which is developing software and services to help musicians and other artists build their brands, has scored a Series B funding round from the Foundry Group. Financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Topspin is headed by former Yahoo! Music GM Ian Rogers, and was founded by Shamal Ranasinghe and Peter Gotcher. The firm previously raised a round of funding from Redpoint Ventures in 2007.
