Total Immersion In Deal With Nike
Los Angeles-based Total Immersion, a developer of technology which overlays digital images into live video images, said Thursday evening that the firm has scored a win with sports brand Nike. According to Total Immersion, its technology is being used by ad agency Widen+Kennedy to offer an "augmented reality slot machine." That effort will allow visitors to Nike's BMW Open Dew Tour to enter to win a pair of shoes and additional prizes, all thorough an augmented reality display powered by Total Immersion's technology. Financial impact of the customer deployment was not disclosed.
