TransDimension Raises $18M, Acquires USB Core Provider
Irvine-based TransDimension announced that it has acquired ARC International's Peripheral Connectivity assets. The company gains ARC's USB and Ethernet IP cores and development tools, expanding TransDimension's suite of USB semiconductors and software. As part of the deal, TransDimension will establish a design center in Nashua N.H. and bring on ARC's key USB business personnel. Terms were not disclosed. In conjunction with the acquisition, TransDimension announced that it has raised Series C and Series D financings totaling $18.35M. The Series D financing was led by VantagePoint Venture Capital with participation by iSherpa Capital. The Series C financing was led by GKM Ventures, and included VantagePoint, iSherpa, Rolling Oaks, and Shelter Capital. The funds were used to acquire ARC's USB assets.
