Top News Gets Boost From SoCal Angels, Expands In San Diego

Washington, DC-based, an online site offering daily deals to military families, has scored a new round of funding from a number of Southern California investors, the firm said this week. According to TroopSwap--which is led by two Airborne Rangers who met at Harvard Business School--it received $925,000 in a new round of funding from such investors as Frank Monestere, President/COO of Los Angeles-based; Paige Craig, Founder and CEO of; and Kelly Perdew, CEO of Andy Dunn, founder and CEO of also participated in this round. Monestere, Craig, and Perdew are all U.S. ilitary veterans, with Monestere having served as a Green Beret; Craig having been a Marine; and Perdew as a former Army Ranger. The firm said the funding will go towards expansion of its operations, to both Washington, DC and San Diego. More information »
