TubeStart Launches Crowdfunding Site For YouTube Projects

Have a great idea for a online video project, but just need a little funding for equipment, actors, or editing? A new, Santa Monica-based startup TubeStart, said today that it has launched its crowdfunding platform specifically for YouTube video content creators. The startup--founded and headed by Josef Holm--said it not only allows traditional, crowdfunding campaigns with specific dollar goals--but also lets supporters sign up for "subscriptions" of between $5 and $150 monthly to support YouTube content efforts. The company said the subscriptions are an aim at avoiding the issues around the traditional, crowdsourced "all or nothing" model.
