TV Guide, Fox In Program Listing Deal
Los Angeles-based Gemstar-TV Guide International is in a new TV listings syndication deal with Fox Interactive Media, the firm announced yesterday. Gemstar will provide its program listing grids to FoxSports and IGN entertainment, two Fox Interactive Media properties. Gemstar also said it has expanded its syndication agreements with 25 local Fox TV station web sites. The deal calls for TVGuide.com to provide guidance tools and data on the web sites. Gemstar-TV Guide licenses television guides and related technology and patents to online web sites, hardware manufactuersrs, and others.
