UberMedia Lands $5.6M

Pasadena-based UberMedia, the developer of Twitter client applications, announced this morning that it has scored an additional, $5.6M in a new investment round. The new funding came from Burda Digital, the European Internet investor. UberMedia said the funding came through Burda's DLD Ventures arm. UberMedia said the funding will allow the company to further grow its relationship with partners such as 50 Cent and Ashton Kutcher, both of whom now have custom Twitter clients powered by UberMedia. UberMedia also said it now has over 5 million users using its various clients, and says that its clients represent approximately 13 percent of all traffic on the Twitter platform. More information »
