UberMedia Raises $8M More

Pasadena-based UberMedia, the provider of mobile advertising technology, announced this morning that it has raised $8M in a funding round. The funding came from Gordon Crawford and Blue Chip Ventures, as well as others. Crawford is a member of the board of Lionsgate Entertainment, and previously was a portfolio manager at Capital Research and Management. UberMedia--which is led by Idealab's Bill Gross--currently offers up mobile advertising technology which uses social signals and location infromation to optimize ad campaigns. The company previously had developed Twitter-focused mobile apps. According to UberMedia, it had 300 percent growth in 2013, and is now sees around 4 billion impressions per month, with a reach to 400 million devices. More information »
